Overview
Goethe-Zentrum Prishtina invites individuals, organizations, and groups to submit project proposals for our 2026 funding cycle. We support cultural and educational initiatives and foster community engagement through creative collaboration.
As part of the worldwide network of Goethe-Instituts, our mission is to promote the German language, support international cultural exchange, and strengthen mutual understanding between Germany and Kosovo. We value openness, diversity, creativity, and dialogue — and we seek projects that reflect these principles.
Priority: Connection to Germany (Mandatory)
All proposals must demonstrate a clear and substantial link to Germany. Proposals without this link will not be considered. The connection to Germany can be expressed in various ways, for example:
- thematic focus on German culture, history, or contemporary topics,
- collaboration with German partners or institutions,
- integration or promotion of the German language (e.g., in programme elements, mediation, or communication),
- joint exchanges or coproductions with German actors.
Links to other German-speaking countries (Austria, Switzerland, etc.) are considered a bonus but are not required.
Eligibility
- Scope: Cultural and educational initiatives.
- Geographic Focus: Activities must generate positive impact in Kosovo.

Application Requirements
- Project Proposal: Download and complete the Project Proposal Template from our website. Outline objectives, target groups, activities/methods, timeline, expected outcomes/impact, and alignment with GoetheZentrum Prishtina’s mission. Click here

Available Budget
The available budget for selected projects is approximately 3,000 euros.

Selection Process
All submitted proposals will be reviewed by a panel at Goethe-Zentrum Prishtina. Priority will be given to projects that demonstrate innovation, community engagement, alignment with our goals, and a strong connection to Germany.
